My role involves performing audits on different firms. Each audit is done by a team of people which includes a partner/director, managers, senior associates and junior associates. Although some of the work can be done at the office, a lot of the work needs to be done at the client's business site.
I've developed my skills in Microsoft Excel, communication as well as team work.
The programme is quite enjoyable as it gives a mix of university life with working life. The working life itself gives opportunities for you to travel and work in different areas of a region.
The programme is very well organised. It gives you a lot of teaching time before Christmas, the work placement takes place during busy season which gives good experience, and then afterwards we have the Easter break to revise for our exams.
A lot of support is received from our employer. We are assigned a career coach who monitors our progress, and we are also put into contact with employees who were previously on the same programme as us.
A significant amount of support is received - most of our official textbooks are paid for by PwC.
It definitely helps - without the key knowledge acquired in our qualification it would be quite difficult to understand the day-to-day work done in the office.
There are regular social activities held in the office, with sporting events taking place in the warmer season.
