Im a nursery practitioner, I have my own key children within the nursery who I look after amongst other children. I make sure there tapestry and learning journals are up to date. I make sure the children get the best out of there days.
Yes Iv learnt to become more confident, I keep my self upto date with new and existing policy’s and procedures. Also looking in to new opportunities within the nursery that I can achieve i.e becoming assistant room leader.
I enjoyed having my one to one sessions with my tutor and learning what was next for my new and up coming assignments.
My tutor was great she always had everything in place and ready for what was next I.e the next assessment or exam that I had. This was important to me as I liked to be organised.
There really good as they allocated time out for when they could. And always asked if there was anything in particular that I needed help with, also my room leader was good for this we would do one to one sessions about anything I needed to learn.
Lots.. My tutor is great she is always there at the end of the phone! Very organised and on to the next thing as soon as one assignment is signed off! Which I liked as I’m a very organised person. And think continued learning is important keeps my brain active.
A lot as iv learn so much a part from learning as I go which is the best way I personal learn I feel that having assignments and one to one sessions and peers observations has helped me learn so much and develop as a person to be come more confident.
We have meetings, which are important so we no what is happening through out the months this helps us to get organised! Team building sessions this may be all going out through one of the evenings or a planned weekend.
Yes
For me I learn best on the job so this sort of qualification for me was great! Specially when you get a great trainer. Learning but also actually doing the job I think is the best way of gaining and building your knowledge and experience to become the best you can.
To make sure you use your time wisely and to manage it, working full time then doing assignments could be challenging for some, make sure you get your allocated time out within your setting also. And hope you get a fab trainer like I did!
