Conducting audit work including performing substantive detail testing for different clients on their balance sheet and income statement line items. The clients I was working on included asset wealth management clients such as private equity firms.
I have learnt good teamwork skills whilst working with lots of various team members on different clients. My time management skills have improved and communication skills when contacting the clients . My leadership skills have also improved as i had the opportunity to coach other team members
I really enjoy the programme as its the best of both worlds - university plus also getting the opportunity to work on multiple short placements to earn money and this also greatly aids my studies for my degree.
Very well structured as the placements are at the same time each year and are communicated well. The communication between the placement work and the university is also excellent
Good support when working on placement, whilst a uni support is limited as we are not contracted and employed during this time so the contact and support from the employer is limited
Support from the training provider is a good level, the university supports us well whilst we are studying and PwC support us well when we are working. Plus the communication between the two is good and constant
Very well, the work placement greatly aid my university studies when taking uni and professional exams as the work experience helps me to apply my knowledge better and enables me to understand the syllabus more rather than from just reading textbooks
Yes, PwC hold many extra curricular activities including sports matches like netball and football. However, we unfortunately are often no there to take part in these due to the short placements we are on, but when i join full time i am looking forward to taking part
Yes
Great atmosphere in the office, great young people to work with who are enthusiastic, lots of social events to get involved in, great supportive employer with lots of opportunities to progress and good coaching available
Research the company well before and choose a sector you are particularly interested in so that you can ask to work on particular clients.
