We are of the same grade as an associate 1 within the firm. This means we are the least experienced members of the team and therefore responsible for the easiest parts of the audit file.
Improved upon excel skills and the audit file software aura that PwC use.
The programme is well organised and run. It is an intensive course having to do professional exams whilst still in Uni, and placement can be challenging as we are only brought in for the busiest time of year, so this entails long hours.
Structured well to give PwC the most staff during the busiest time of year.
This is dependent on career coaches and buddys. Mostly ex flying starts within the office are the most supportive as they know exactly what your going through.
They provide books and online resources such as past papers. Our exams aren't on computers like the rest of the ICAEW exams are, so some information is at times not very applicable.
The qualification directly corresponds to the role we do, as all graduates doing the same job are sitting similar exams. In the Belfast Office this is not ICAEW and instead CAI - the Irish equivalent, so it can be difficult to compare.
No, as we are in at the busiest time of year and therefore few social opportunities. However the office does run social activities throughout the year, which are good to get involved with.
Yes
Good company to start your career as there are many young people and they supportive of improving professional qualifications
