  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • You are given jobs to work on and you join a team and work on an audit. On a day to day you are given tasks by superiors to have completed for a deadline. This ranges from admin tasks to testing and speaking with clients. Also helping out people in the team with their work if they need it.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I've not used Microsoft excel much and after my 12 weeks my skills on this have improved drastically, and just my skills with IT in general have improved. Also my time management has improved, working under pressure to a deadline, working by myself and with others are other skills ive improved

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • Very enjoyable because most people are extremely helpful in teaching you how to do the necessary work, everyone in teams are generally nice and make you feel welcome and include you. The office makes working enjoyable as it is very open and relaxed. The programme is very clear on everything which is appreciated

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • very well organised and structured. After every step you are shown the next few steps in detail. There are people always there to help if you do have questions about the programme. The plan that we are shown rarely changes. Everything that is planned is necessary and benefits you in some way

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • You are given lots of support from employers. You are given a career coach, buddy and someone to watch over whos been on the programme so support is constantly there. Also the management on any team that you are on are very helpful and often help you and give advice

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • You also get lots of support from your training provider. They are very clear on what and when you need to do things by and you can ask anytime if you have queries and are always helpful in answering your questions. I feel they make me understand well what im working towards

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • It gives you lots of background information and a foundation of knowledge to go into the job with meaning you hit the ground running when you get used to the audit process.It prepared you for the type of work that you are going into and you have a general understanding of the environment you are in

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • The firm offers many social events that you are made aware of very early on. There are many sports teams you can join also and often the teams you are in are in groups so you find out more about them. Also there are many opportunities to go on networking events

  • Yes

  • Its a firm that is very rewarding if you put the effort n. It offers a one of a kind office workspace which invites innovation and working to a style that suits your needs. They are extremely helpful and want to help you develop in your career as much as possible


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to PwC?
  • I would advise to work hard and be prepared to continue to have to do so, but its worth it for the experience and qualification. Id advise t get involved with what the firm has to offer socially as well as you can meet great people. Id say be prepared as much as you can for the job with IT skills and background knowledge
