Carrying out testing on different FSLIs and following up on queries with the client, this may be in person, via email or via calls. Also coaching junior team members ensuring they get a good understanding of the work they are completing.
Gained accreditations for 11/15 of the professional ICAEW exams. As well as learning about how to audit a wider range of areas. Developed communication skills with colleagues and clients.
I enjoy both sides to the programme, having the student experience whilst studying at uni but also building up the skills for a working environment whilst on placement.
We always have welcome back meetings at the start of the term as well as technical training before we go on placement. We have buddies at work that we can go to if we have problems as well as older students on the course.
As we have a buddy at work we receive a good amount of support, where issues need to be raised with senior members this happens in a professional way to enable you to get the support needed.
We receive support from our university lecturers whilst we are studying the content and uni. They also get in contact whilst we are on placement to see how we are doing.
By gaining knowledge on more complex areas of accounting we will be able to cover more complex areas on the file. It also allows us to ask less questions as we are able to use the theory we've learnt and put it into practice in reality.
There are many social activities at work which you can joinin with and many charity events.

I feel it is a good place to work and progress. People are friendly and willing to ensure you gain as much as you can whilst working there.
Don't panic on assessment days but also don't be shy. Be willing to add to conversations but not so you take over the conversation.
