Within my role I support 4 Talent Advisors in the admin side of recruitment. My day to day tasks are interview scheduling, job posting, recruitment reporting and compliance checks e.g. right to work documents. I interact with a range of people in the business, mainly in HR but also in other departments when there are internal candidates. I speak to potential candidates on the phone and I interact with the recruitment agencies we use regarding invoices.
During my time in this role I have been on a variety of internal training courses e.g. excel, CV writing. I have developed my professional skills by knowing how to interact with different stakeholders and have the right attitude. I have gained a lot of confidence whilst being in this role by talking to a range of people which has enabled me to be more outgoing in tasks & responsibilities.
I enjoy the role I do and my team are all very supportive, they are always happy to answer any questions and queries I have. The company has a really friendly culture and people outside the team are always happy to help and assist with any tasks. It has over exceeded my expectations.
The induction at the start was slightly less organised than expected, I wasn't given much guidance and communication from the training provider regarding the off the job training. After tow moths in it began to have more of a structure and support with the training with monthly meetings and check ins etc.
My manager gives me a lot of support, we have weekly catch ups to go over what im working on and review how much capacity I have for other tasks. I always know who to go to if I do need support and I have regular catch ups with HR.
The tutor always keeps the sessions engaging and tries to make it relevant to the role you are doing. If you do have any problems you can email but sometimes communication can be a bit slow. I enjoy the work I am doing and understand the tasks that need to be done.
My learning from my training provider assists my day to day role and provides me with more clarity on why certain tasks happen within the business. in my role I assist in the processes I have learnt about and feel like I have learn more about the industry and position I work in.
yes they always try to give us opportunities within the apprenticeship scheme to meet and socialise with other apprentices in the company. We also have sports teams and social events within the company and in our team. Within my team we are always encouraged to have social activities outside of work.
Yes
it has a great company culture and every colleague you meet is very happy to help with anything. there a loads of extra benefits onsite as well like the gym and hair salon so you feel really appreciated within the company. They always to give out recognition which is really motivating and the company stands for good values
Just be yourself and don't be nervous! Try you best to outline all your best achievements in your initial application, be prepared on your assessment day and research everything you can about the company e.g. purpose, brands. During onboarding make sure you use that time to absorb all you can about how the business works before drilling down to your role.
