auditing - I help the team in completing FSLI's such as cash, ppe, accounts receivable etc. In doing this I complete EGA's every single day, these are usually set at the beginning of each audit and I must complete them by the end of the audit. I also speak to the client
I have learn how to use excel and how to do different formulas which have helped me alot in day to day life and make my skills very transferable. These include VLOOKUP and SUM which are basic ones needed regularly in most financially related roles. I can also use audit software
I enjoy mt programme alot because I get to speak to new people every single day. I also like being in different buildings regularly and seeing different areas. This job allows for a lot of ytravel and allows you to experience alot. It is a very social job with friendly people
I have one year of normal uni which is great to allow the full first year experience which is arguably the most fun year. after this I do my first term for each year and then work for the second term and come back for my exams in third term
I receive a lot of support because I gwt to have a career coach as well as a buddy both of whom I can go to to get support and to talk about any problems I have. I can also go to my head of course with any issues arising.
I receive a lot of support as we have contacts in the uni who are always available for us to email or talk to about any problems we may have. We also get regular emails to check in on us to make sure everything is going smoothly with our placements
in my qualification we get to do a lot of the base exams which are vital to understand and perform well in the audits. Having this knowledge allows me to understand the job I am doing as well as the reason behind it which makes me appreciate it a lot more.
at work there are many different social events and teams to get involved in. These range from sports teams such as football an exercise classes to religious and arty groups. There is something for everyone and if you cant find something you like you can always start up your own society
Yes
PwC has a great learning and working culture, there are range of different age groups so no matter what category you fall into you will fit in. Everyone in the office is very friendly and being social is encouraged, there is a great sense of community there and it is welcoming
Be yourself and don't stress out too much, everyone is very friendly and welcoming. Try to demonstrate the values that PwC shares as much as you can as that is the most important thing. Demonstrate a willingness to learn as at every grade you are constantly learning new things and that is how you progress
