I restocked shelves, was the manager so I told people what to do and when to do it. Mainly, that was my job. But, I also done quite a lot of other favours such as dealing with spreadsheets on the AlDI database system and also helping staff within their career within the store.
Yes, I have learnt different skills and developed original one's that I did have before I joined ALDI. The best thing overall is, the fact that we got training every month helped out skills develop quickly and that we got to show what our skills did and therefore, get promoted more quicker than usually would happen. It seemed quite surprising at first when I got my first promotion, and remember it very clearly.
I enjoyed my prograame a lot. Enjoying my programme is the most important thing of all. My work was manageable and good to do, my team were happy, and easy to work with, and the company culture was very good and really liked it. It really did throw my expectations over.
Some parts were all over the place. For example, the training first of all was a bit muddled because things were cancelled, staff were always late and therefore we thought that training was off. The support was really handy though which shows the quality of training they had was very outstanding and helpful to us.
I recieved a lot of support. I am a question asker - I can admit but I think asking questions was important because later on I didn't have to ask them when I actually needed the knowledge. The employer was there 24/7 which really helped me, totally. I recieved more than I needed with support.
I recieved a lot. Accessability of support was absolutely outstanding. We had ease of communication with walky-talkies, and microphones and speak technology in our ear and near our mouthes so we could easily contact each other when we needed help, if we needed it, whenever. There was always someone which could help, and the customers were really pleasant which helped a bit.
I performed, in my opinion, better than I joined. The training provider trained me like I was studying for a course in university. The training helped a lot, the provider was amazing (we became friends till this day) and I really enjoyed doing the job. I made sure I kept on top of what I learnt so it would do me good.
Yes, there are tons of social activities that are organised over private ALDI messaging system, and it's really fun and interactive as it has tons of content and is easy to use. The location is convenient as it is near where everyone lives, so it is fair for everyone to travel. I didn't attend all the time so I don't know everything.
Yes
The staff there are really nice to talk to, the managers I met at the branch I was working at in Polegate were really nice. The customers were nice and easy to talk to, they weren't complaint about everything - of course you did have those few customers that complained, but everything was great.
First of all, make sure everything on your application is up to scratch and absolutely nothing is wrong. If something is wrong, they will critisize it which is really frustrating because you spend so much time on it. The interviews are easy if everything on your application is up to scratch and looks fine. The onboarding process is simple, which is great and is really easy to understand as they give you everything which is needed to know before the event, with some additional details.
