We completed a daily log on how to be a team leader and player. We were assigned to a sector and worked with professionals for a few days to see what they did and what it was like.
I learnt how to manage a team, participate in a team and work through problems, I also learnt how to give a presentation and send a professional email
I really enjoyed my experience as it taught me a lot of things I didn’t know before and gave me a true insight of what I want to do. There was always work to be done so I never felt like there was time wasted
It was incredibly organised. Every minute was spent doing something useful and helpful to the team I worked with
I learned quite a bit about the culture in different companies and saw that it really did vary but there were things in place to combat areas like diversity and social inclusion.
I already had an idea about what I wanted to do but this experience really helped solidify that and gave me another option for which company I can aspire to work for
Yes. We were paid quite well for the experience
There was an opportunity to network at every session and at all places in the workplace
Yes
There is so much opportunity there and it really helps you think about different options in a safe environment
You don’t have to have a set idea about what you want to do. If you’re interested to see what they have to offer than it’s totally worth applying
