My role is in packing. The tablets come to us in bags and leave in sealed shippers. Our job is to make sure this process runs smoothly. This means if machines break or have errors, we fix them and carry out the standards so quality isn't compromised.
I feel my people skills have developed as I have to work with many different people on a daily basis. This has helped my communication skills.
I enjoy it because I get to complete a college course whilst learning on the job. At work I get treated as another member of the team rather than an apprentice which definitely helps.
Good. I have regular meetings with my manager to track my progress and there is a clear structure on saba cloud as to what the team want me to learn.
I know if there are any issues, then there is a number of people I can talk to. Al so the meetings with my manager give me direction in what I need to do next.
[This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyApprenticeship Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] helps a lot by keeping in close contact during our training. Also all the teachers are willing to help and give us plenty of guidance for our assignments.
I don't feel that the course I am doing directly links to my apprenticeship. I have a role in packing but I'm on an engineering course. I don't tend to use what I learn in my job but its still a very useful qualification to have.
There are events held that I could get involved in regularly. Also our teams often meet up outside of work, this could be for meals etc. I believe there is also a football club as well.
Yes
Its a very good option for someone who doesn't want to go to uni but wants to gain experience in the workplace whilst also making money. Everyone supports me and I feel happy here.
To be willing to learn and also to show enthusiasm. Also to ask questions and push things with your manager if you feel they aren't being done correctly or could be improved.
