  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I'm an Area Manager looking after 25 sites across Sheffields Primary's this entails over seeing full compliance of Health and Safety, Food Safety, Dudiligence and added value activities. I interact with my teams, Head Teachers, Business Manager, School Food Service and the Sheffield team on a daily basis.

  • My skills are developing daily through information gained from my Apprenticship and also extra training this has lead to, which I now use on a daily basis.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • The program is very enjoyable and has opened my eyes on how different areas of the catering business vary even though we are doing the same job.

  • The structure and support has been fantastic and been very personal to my individual needs.

  • If I've needed the support from my employer it's been there 100%

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • My Tutor is anazing from my one to one or via text message or email he is there to support me when ever I need him,. He makes my training interesting and enjoyable, which makes the learning fun.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • It will underpin the knowledge I need to go further in my career within the company.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • We have solial events through out the year with our team, along with events sent from the wider business. When I'm not at work I like to socialize with family and friends, sporting activities and reading.

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • Although my service is not a long one its been enjoyable, motivating and it's where I'd like to stay to further my career.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Elior?
  • Be yourself, show them what you have to give them as a company and that your willing to learn and be proud that your part of the Elior company.
