As I am out on side in the placement phase of my apprenticeship, I am Shadowing senior design engineer on a day-to-day basis, following their working life and getting involved in some of their projects and having my own projects work on that will be installed around the sit.
I couldn’t list them, my knowledge has grown extremely but I would say the most noticeable thing is my drive and hunger to succeed in the business.
I love it, I know everybody says it but I generally really enjoy the apprenticeship and look forward to all the challenges that face me and want to test myself see to how far I can succeed.
Very, You spend 2 years in the skill Academy learning your trade with well laid out work With your college corse then you spend 2 years on site implementing everything you have learnt.
As much as you need, everyone is different some people need to be pushed in the right direction with additional training and learning, others will naturally push them selfs but really the company will give you everything you need.
They give you all the funding and resources you need, it’s up to you to put the work in and pass the qualifications.
I have just passed my HNC in electrical engineering and it helps massively with my working life, it gives me the underlying knowledge of plant equipment and circuits to then relate back to the real world.
