Writing SQL statement, Looking at data, Creating analytics reports.
Yes I have learnt new programming languages since I started. I have been mainly invokved with sql so that is the language that I am most familiar with.
I love it. I am glad that I chose to go down the degree apprenticeship route rather than full time apprentice or full time student.
Extremely well. We have regular reviews on our performance and my boss likes to get me involved with as many projects as possible.
As much support as I need. If I am ever struggling with anything, I can go over to anyone in the team and they will give me a hand.
Again, as much as I need. They regularly make it clear to us all that they are always available through email and often email back very quickly.
I think they go hand in hand really. I started working around a month and a half before the degree started so I had a bit of a head start. Once I got past the first year or so, The degree did start to focus more on what I do at work.
We have team socials after work occasionally and sometimes go for team lunches also. Twice a week I am involved in staff football where you can meet people from all across the business who you wouldn't see day to day.
Yes
Excellent place to work. Everyone is friendly and it is a positive environment.
Have some experience before joining or before your interview so that you can show off your skills. It's also good to know a bit about a certain language if you are going to join a IT team. For the department I work in, SQL would be ideal.
