Infrastructure engineer with a merge into the cloud team. Day to day domain management, VMware work, Citrix, AWS, Patching, Server builds.
Yes, near enough all my knowledge was learnt on the job. Some developed existing skills, however ICT at college is completely different from the industry.
I fully enjoy this programme, wouldn't change a great deal about it.
Very clear and organized, very little is left up in the air, regarding assignments and apprentice standard work.
Couldn't ask for more support, with extra training and dedicated time to complete assignments.
The training provider is the university so its not really the same as a usual apprenticeship.
Somewhat, however peoples jobs are very specific and the course can be quite vague.

Good company to work for, going in the right direction, are up to date with technologies used and working strategies.
Work hard, study and try and do some extra learning on top of that.
