Currently, my daily tasks include running vulnerability assessments for internal and external clients. This consists of setting up scans, running scans and reporting on them back to the client. I also create remediation reports that show to the client the patches we have done
I have learnt how to present myself in a busieness and how to talk to clients outside of the company. I have also learnt about different security threats from vulnerability scanning.
I Really love security, so learning about the in's and out's has been a really exciting experience for me so far
Day release one day a week for university study followed by 4 days of on the job training is well organised and easy to manage.
I have weekly calls from my line manager where i have the opportunity to discuss any issues i am having so the support is great.
There is support on offer as feedback on completed assignments for the university modules
The soft skills learnt at uni help with soft skills at work. The actual university content so far hasnt assisted me in my technical role at work
We have an entire social club that do events every month that costs only £5. this ranges from cinema events to sports like playing 5 a side football
