  • A rural surveyor is a professionally qualified multidisciplinary property adviser acting in a predominantly rural environment. The roles is incredibly varied; valuation of property, forming strategic policy for your clients business, property management, people management, sale and leasing of property, to name a few.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Taught study to start mid April 2020, I am sure I will learn new and develop existing skills throughout the 2 year program.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • Program to start in 3 weeks from date of review. I am sure the programme will be great!

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • Programme yet to start, initial indication is that the programme is highly organised and well structured. The assistance from Savills apprenticeship team has been excellent

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • A huge amount, they could not be more supportive

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • Yet to be seen, programme starts in mid-April 2020. Anticipate high levels of support from training provider. The course has been established for some time and I will benefit from its longevity.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • It will help me to think in different ways and bring innovative solutions to historic issues faced in my sector.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Yes lots, as with university they are all there to do, but you need to self start somewhat and actively seek to be involved with all the activities that are going on. Work supports extra curricular activities, through funding, providing time away from work and just with general enthusiasm.

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • It is a business defined by its employees ability to have positive human interactions, both with work colleagues and clients. The company ethos supports and engenders this people first approach. They pay well, provide excellent training and are open to change/new things.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Savills?
  • Get work experience with the company, meet the people, experience the work that you think you want to do and if it still something you want to do, make securing that role your ultimate focus.
