Supply planner, responsible for all short term supply constraints on Kit Kat lines in the Uk and Ireland.
I have learnt to interact with people of different nationality, culture and language. I work on a daily basis with people from Dubai, Russia and Germany to name a few, which is a great opportunity to build overseas network.
I really enjoy the opportunties on my programme and the structure of our roles and movements between the roles.
As mentioned, the scheme is very well structured to move roles at the same time. It works well having such notice before moving role to have time supporting people coming into your current role, as well as having time to learn your new role with the current occupier.
The support is unlimited, the opportunity to be independent and selfsufficient is very much there however is matched with a wide support netowrk, ranging from your apprentice team, manager, mentor or the academy champions.
The training provider has been excellent on the basis of remote learning, deadlines flexible and study weeks well structured to offer optional help and a time to get through set tasks.
The links between qualification and the role very much vary in influence, but there are clear elements of some units such as forecasting and problem solving that can very much be taken into the daily role.
Many teams and networking events as well as online learning courses. Opportunities to network with people from other sites and meet up.
Yes
Nestle does a great job of overcoming the apprenticeship stigma, the opportunties and trust is endless meaning the achievements are unlimited.
I would advise to all to be open minded, anticpate a wide range of on scheme roles to really gain the wide knowledge on scheme. Take pride in work and especially in your application process, it doesnt go unnoticed.
