My day to day activities are very varied. They include actions such as risks, issues management, tracking of project actions, project planning, milestones tracking, analysis of requirements and stakeholder managament. On top of this, I also ensure that the governance is followed across my projects. Finally, I help the reporting to senior management.
In my role, I have learnt how to deal with stakeholders and how to manage different expectations. I have also learnt how to summarise key information and ideas that are later communicated to senior management. I have also learnt how to produce a project plan and how to deal with change.
In my opinion the programme is thoroughly enjoyable. This is because of several reasons. Firstly, I have the opportunity to deal with different teams across the organisation. I aam also able to participate in different phases of the project lifecycle. Finally I enjoy having exposure to senior directors and manager within the bank so that I can learn from them.
I believe my programme is very well structured for a few different reasons. One of them is that I have been able to complete my workshops progressively, this has enabled me to learn theory and then apply it in my day to day work. Also, having the chance to move to different projects makes the programme more interestingly structured.
I get constant support from my employer. I have support form my line manager and also from the change team who always are open to have a chat and obtain feedback. When I have needed support they have been very flexible with my requirements. I also get support form the project team.
My training provider gives me support in different ways. Firstly, the different teachers in the workshops have supported my when I have asked questions or for their advise in the completion of my portfolio. I also have regular meetings with my skills, who helps me to review my portfolios drafts.
My qualification has been very useful to complete my day to day acitvities as it has given me the necessary theory and context for project management. I would highly recommend completing this course through QA and APM. Also, this qualification is very recognised and valuable across different industries which makes it more attractive.
Yes, across my organisation there are many opportunities to get involved in extra activities like participating in networking events. In addition to this, there are also community days. I have participated in both and I would really recommend the experience as it helped me to get to know more employees and also to make an impact on society.
Yes
Because it is a great organisation where individuals are encourage individuals to improve. Also, the internal opporunitites are very interesting. The culture and balance between work and personla life is one aspect that the organisation really focuses on.
I would recommend that the candidates understands the strategy of the firm and its global position. I would say it is esssential to understand its history. Finally I would highly reocmmend to understand the challanges of the industry and the main competitors. Finally, it is important to understand the activities of the role you will be applying for.
