I lead and manage a team of upto 100 employees within North East Lincolnshire. My role consists of anything from HR management, full sales and finance responsibility, whilst driving organic growth for the future. The customer experience is at the centre of what we do.
My knowledge and skills have increased significantly since starting my Degree Apprenticeship. I am more knowledgable within the retail sector and have developed my existing skills also.
The experience has been excellent. Although stressful at times it has been excellent to learn new skills and meet great people along the journey.
This is the only area I believe MMU are still testing the water with. We were the 2nd cohort on a completely new programme. Communication is the one thing MMU need to improve. We completed the two biggest assignments alongside eachother. This could have been prevented with communication.
The business is fast paced and every day is different. This makes it incredibly hard to plan a normal day, never mind degree level apprenticeship work.
MMU have been excellent in this area. Fiona has kept the cohort together and helped everyone during challenging times. Her work and support has been excellent.
The degree is 100% relevant to McDonalds and the retail environment. Some subjects give a completely new understanding of areas and allows a holistic approach.
Not really within McDonalds
Yes
McDonalds is a great place to meet new people and now since they have launched the degree programme, a brilliant place for education. This degree has given me significant development within my role as a Business Manager and also my career.
Long term this can be a solid career.
