I work as a Finance Apprentice within Costing. On a day-to-day basis, I manage the 'Cost of Goods Sold' for a few smaller businesses and advise the Business Controller based on this reporting. I manage many stakeholders including internal and external customers.
I have developed my skills massively whilst being on the Apprenticeship Scheme. Particularly, I have developed my presenting skills and the confidence that comes along with that. I previously struggled with speaking in front of audiences, however now I enjoy the challenge!
I thoroughly enjoyed my scheme and really enjoyed the responsibility that came along with it. The trust that the company puts into their Apprentices is immense and something that I am grateful to have experienced!
My programme was organised well, however it also allowed for flexibility, so that I could maximise my time on the scheme. You are always in contact with those that want to maximise your development and ensure that you are keeping up with training.
I received lots of support from my employer, particularly my Line Manager when it came to training and experience with the role I was in.
At the start of my Apprenticeship, I receieved lots of support from my Talent Coach when working towards my CIMA Exams, however when they had a restructure, I then experienced a lack of communication and had to get on with writing my End Point Assessment by myself.
I think my CIMA Studies really help me understand the theory behind why we carry out certain tasks and reports as Management Accountants. Furthermore, it really helped me with the Ethics behind Management Accounting.
There is a work gym in the office whereby you can attend for free (including classes!). There are frequent events that you can get involved in including charity events and social activities.

I would definitely recommend Nestle to a friend! The amount I have developed personally and academically is immense and I am so glad I chose to start my working life with Nestle!
Be yourself! Nestle pride themselves in accepting people as they are and do not want anyone to have to put a front on at work!
