I support client relationship managers with day to day management of pension schemes. In particular I help prepare papers/packs for Trustee meetings and liaise with other advisers to ensure actions are completed to ensure clients pension schemes run smoothly.
My professional skills have skyrocketed, especially my ability to interact with clients and to deliver their needs. I have also become more confident at using video conferencing software. As well as this Aon have enabled me to develop presentation skills in front of clients and internally.
My 2 week induction was amazing, that has got to be a highlight. I also enjoy the people I work with and the environment I work in.
It is very structured, there is a clear path. Lots of people are well educated about the programme.
Lots! 20% of my time is dedicated to my apprenticeship. I also get 5 study days per exam which is a great help. I also have received help from my manager, Aon's apprenticeship lead, Aon's early careers team and my coach from FWD.
Monthly calls are held with FWD. They occur more frequently if required. Tasks are set regularly and they keep you informed of any developments with the apprenticeship.
It makes me more aware of the regulations and the other parties involved within the industry.
There wasn't many within my first year, although this has recently changed as we now have a social committee. We now have plenty of events planned for 2020. Football is played every Monday.

The benefits package is amazing - health care, travel insurance etc Good working environment and modern offices. You also have the ability to work from home if required. The 2 week induction is great and allows you to connect and become friends with the other apprentices.
Just be yourself! Show you ability to be a people person and ability to solve problems quickly and efficiently.
