I am a HR apprentice and I assist in the delivery of various projects and workstreams. On a daily basis I take part in project meetings where we discuss progress and deliverables. I also have my own workstreams ensuring that work is done and completed to sign off these tasks
My networking ability has improved significantly and my confidence has also increased. My knowledge and ability to use systems and understand global processes have also improved. I have also improved my ability to manage time and to others in projects that I have been a part of
I cannot rate my programme enough, the support I have is amazing and the opportunities I have been lucky enough to be involved in are unprecedented amongst my peers.
My programme is a rotational programme and I love the fact I can experience multiple areas of the business in a small time frame. It has given me great exposure and opportunities.
I have great support from my manager, he always tries to put my development first, looking for new opportunities for me to expand. I also have great support from my UK apprentice manager who is welcoming and always on hand to offer support
My training provider has changed recently from ICS Learn to Babbington, I have had numerous issues with them recently as they have not been very visible and I have had very little contact with them. I flagged this to my manager and they have now reached out to help me resolve the problem.
My learning has enabled me to understand the more broad applications of HR and how it impacts the workforce. Also enabling me to apply what I have learned in a more practical way.
We have monthly quizzes, fundraising events and then we also have social gatherings as part of a HR learning and Social club where we have been punting and meals out along with Christmas bowling.
Yes
The opportunities and exposure I have got whilst working at AstraZeneca has been second to none. I am constantly stretched and challenged which I love and appreciate
Be prepared to be thrown out of your comfort zone for the better, the support and guidance is excellent and its really important to be opened minded to all different parts of the organisation
