  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learnt many new skills since the start of my apprenticeship in 2018. I have improved my communication skills as I am constantly having different forms of communications (skype, email face too face) with people all over the world. I now feel more confident speaking and presenting work to others.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I am very happy with how my programme has gone. There has been a clear path for me to develop myself from the start of the apprenticeship. I work in a great team where everyone helps each other. There is a great company culture which makes you feel valued as an apprentice

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • I had a good 2 week induction to ease me into my role. There has been great training throughout and I have always had the support available for when I need it. I enjoy doing my uni degree through distance learning and I feel supported with my uni work too.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I have monthly meeting with my manger for an hour where we discuss my progression and learnings. The HR team has not been great. I have a few mentors for different reasons and they have all been useful for me in different ways. The is a good attitude from colleges who try to support the apprentices.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • A tutor visits site one a month who helps us with learning and assignments. There is also a lot of support from the uni tutors who do regular meetings with the students. Overall, i'm happy with how the degree is going although it has been quite tough at times.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • My learning through my qualification do not help me with my day to day role at all. The degree does help me understand how AZ operates on a much larger scale. Therefore, have not ad the opportunity to put theory into practice at my level. I will understand more about the industry I am in by the end of the degree
