From being in a work environment I have learnt a lot of valuable transferrable skills, including communicating with diverse people and process management. I have been able to learn from experts in the pharmaceutical field whilst applying my learning to my own work. Working for such an excellent company allowed me to stretch my capabilities and now in my new role, I am being sponsored to continue to do so, by enrolling on a new educational course.
I enjoyed my programme thoroughly and believe I gained a lot from my colleagues. The comfortable environment led me to make great bonds with my colleagues and this definitely added to my enjoyment of work. I was able to partake in work I enjoyed doing and also express my opinion which was valued by other members of the team. This added to my enjoyment as I felt I was relied upon just as much as the permanent members of the team.
The course itself was organised well and most modules fitted in well with my work. I felt as though my role was flexible and I was able to involve myself in work that I wanted to progress and enjoyed. The uni residentials provided stability and structure to the course which was helpful.
I receive lots of support from my employer. Any time or resources I required were granted and help with project ideas was never an issue. If I needed advice, I would seek this from my colleagues and manager who were always happy to help and very useful. I appreciate the support I was given and it definitely helped me progress to my new role.
The university were happy to provide support and answer any questions I had. The online resources were very useful and provided a good structure to the course.
I felt the projects helped open doors that I would not have usually been involved with in my day-to-day role. It helped me network and pushed my capabilities further.
There were social gatherings after work and also sporting events such as rounders. In the summer they provide fun days such as BBQ's.

AstraZeneca is a fantastic company were individuals can stretch their capabilities and open new doors they didn't expect to find. The culture is supportive and open, so everyone is free to express their opinion. The company is on the rise in producing excellent life saving medicines and it something great to be apart of.
Personality is a key factor to gaining a position within AstraZeneca. The company has high values and this is carried throughout the workforce. As long as they are themselves and strive to put patients first, they will be well suited to this company.
