My role is to process the payroll each month. This involves dealing with different queries from employees and also working with other departments within WTW. I also have the responsibility of dealing with different cases, inputting data onto the system ready for the payroll, checking of data, send different reports and make payments when required.
Yes I have developed a variety of new skills within my role. I have a greater understanding on Payroll through the help of my Team and my apprenticeship. I have also improved my skills on Excel spreadsheets. I have developed on my confidence, communication and my overall ability within working in the Payroll Team.
I really enjoy my programme. It's interesting, the webinars are helpful and I also have a large amount of support from my Team.
Yes my programme is well structured in that there are webinars available and the website provided by MBKB provides a clear description on the content. A criticism that I do have is that my work is not marked until a few minutes before my next tutor session (Once a month).
Willis Towers Watson are excellent in providing me with support, especially my Manager, Mentor and Team.
I don't seem to have that much contact at all from my training provider other than a session once a month. However, I do now have a new tutor for the moment who seems very supportive and an excellent teacher.
Yes the webinars that are provided are a great help. I have completed a lot of self study to help with my understanding as I only have a tutor session once a month. I feel that my learning has helped with my understanding massively and I'm pleased with the progress I have made within my role.
Yes, I'm part of the Young Professional Committee. There are also other events that take part throughout the year for everyone to attend.
Yes
Willis Towers Watson is an excellent place to work. Everyone is very supportive, enthusiastic and it's a very friendly environment to work in. There are many great opportunities within WTW and I feel very privileged to work at Willis.
I would advise younger people to work really hard at their studies in order to achieve the grades that Willis Towers Watson require. I encourage people to apply for the Apprenticeships especially if they are not considering University.
