Helping to audit the accounts of large companies worldwide.
Yes
It is a good programme, those applying should be aware that this is not a rotational programme and therefore the department you are given at the start of your apprenticeship will be the one you are in for 5 years.
It is well organised however I do believe it could be improved with added flexibility for those who feel they may be better suited to other areas after beginning their apprenticeship.
The support is there, if you ask for it. It is not assumed that you are experiencing complications and therefore you must be pro active with your own learning.
Again, the support is there but you must reach out and ask for support should you need it, there is nobody chasing you up, you must be in control of your own progress - as you should be!
As I work within audit it is essential that the accounting knowledge is gained to be able to audit accounts well.
There are, such as the office party at Christmas however due to being in a small department, I haven't experienced much in the way of social events.

If you are somebody who is willing to take control of your own learning and work hard, this apprenticeship will work for you and therefore, I would recommend it to a friend.
If you do not fully understand what audit is or if it is what you want to do, apply for the KPMG 360 programme NOT the audit only. You cannot change during your contract. Work hard and raise questions as soon as you have the and you will succeed.
