This can vary a lot! No 2 days are the same. You will be working in a team for sure and you will need to be very responsible and accountable for your actions. You will have interaction with 100s of different people and you will make lots of friends too.
I came in with minimal accounting knowledge. It does overwhelm you at the beginning because it is a huge change. If you are open and honest and talk to people you will pick up so many new skills that will be vital to you
I enjoy it a lot. Sometimes it doesn't feel there is loads of clarity in terms of rotations etc but the nature of the people I work with as a whole and the intent behind the programme is amazing.
This is the only downfall of the whole programme. I think the intent behind the programme is great but you do get lost sometimes as you can't look too far forward because you don't know what's going to happen.
I have never had so much support in my life. I cannot thank enough the endless support you get from if it is tutor help with exams to your apprenticeship manager who is there for every reason under the sun.
the support levels are great, You must not expect them to come to you. you do need to speak up and if you are having any trouble, recognising the early signs is key. when you're getting any extra support there's nothing better.
with the training we do. It is hard no doubt about it but you learn so much and you think you wont retain it but all of a sudden you start to do more work and it just clicks and you are shocked by what you know!
there is a crazy amount to get involved with. There is any and every task you can think of. Going back to your local school to cake sales and sporting events. there is a lot!
Yes
Because the underlying values and the greater extent of everything is amazing. It is the hardest thing job wise I have ever done. But if you stay disciplined you will get that much back you see why it feels difficult. Work to earn it!
Be yourself always. They want a variety of people with different backgrounds. And prove that you are dedicated and disciplined enough to be in this for the long game because its not a short term goal. Its a career.
