  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learnt new skills on the basis of before starting Aon, I would not know how to complete my job. Also, since starting Aon, I have been able to improve my communication skills and interaction with others who I do not know.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I have really enjoyed the programme as I have gained a qualification in a specific job that I enjoy and I am earning money at the same time. I think being able to earn money while knowing I have a job after the apprenticeship is over helps to enjoy it more aswell as you know what the outcome is.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • I think the programme is well structured because we always were told about our deadlines (from FWD) and we always completed our tasks to a high standard because we had the help of our mentor. We could ask our mentors any questions and he would always respond and he was very helpful when it came to completing our portfolio.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I recieve a lot of support as theya re keen for us to pass our exams and get the highest grade out of the apprenticeship as being fully qualified means that we can increase our knowledge of the insurance market and subsequently be better at our jobs. If we ever needed any help, they would always respond.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I receieved a lot of help from the training provider and working with my coach meant that I was able to get a distinction. If I ever needed help, it was easy to email my coach or call him and he would always help when I needed it, making it very easy to communicate when I had a problem.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I feel that the qualification helps me to perform my job better as I am able to understand the insurance industry better as when I started my job I didn't know much about the industry however, now I know a lot more. I feel like I can contribute more into my team meetings now as I know more and understand more of what is going on.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • We have lots of events to get involved with at work and the head of my team is alwasy asking that I go on networking events to try and meet new people who work in the industry. We have lots of sports teams etc. to get involved with and my team will regaulary catch up in social situations which is always good.

  • 9a. Would you recommend Aon to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • I would recommend Aon to a friend as I have felt very welcome since joining and I enjoy the job I do. Being on the apprenticeship scheme, I joined straight from finishing my A-Levels and the transition was made so easy. I feel a part of my team and although I didn't choose the role, I feel that it suits me very well.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Aon?
  • I would say that they would need to do a little research into the role they are applying for as even though if you are not questionned on it, it always helps to have an understanding of the role that you want to go into. Another thing would be just to be yourself.
