  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My role is to carry out admin tasks and simple accounting work. My day to day role would be ticking certain documents and checking many other documents. I prepare excel documents and gain information to complete them.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Communication Excel knowledge Client interaction Organisational skills (existing) punctuality (existing)

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy my programme at a medium level. I feel the apprenticeship was not advertised correctly and was misleading. This is because to rotate as a 360 it is extremely difficult to get to the departments you wish to work in.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The programme is organised at a poor level. The rotating seems to be more of a pain for other teams and for yourself than it is worth. My Performance Manager can not properly maintain knowledge of my performance and does not sit in on my BPP calls.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • Educational support is fantastic with numerous resources to hand. However, the support from my PM is very limited as I have been told from her replies are very slow as she has a lot of apprentices to be PM for. For me personally this is not a reason.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • Extensive support from my training provider. BPP are excellent in giving such support and I feel I have everything I need for my exams.

    10/10

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • My qualification helps me to gain a better understanding of the work I am doing.

    10/10

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There are so many extra activities to get involved in. KPMG really thrive with the social side of the apprenticeship.

    10/10

  • 9a. Would you recommend KPMG to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • Because it is a great way to gain strong work experience while gaining qualification. I would not recommend the 360 apprenticeship but to work at KPMG is a good opportunity.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to KPMG?
  • Speak to current employees if you can to gain a true understanding of the role you are applying as it may not be what it first seems.
