I work within Protein Sciences, my day to day tasks include protein expression, transfections, purifications and cloning.
I am now able to work and be a part of a professional environment. I have developed the ability to carry out scientific techniques whilst having at understanding of them. I have become a part of a welcoming team of colleagues that provide me with my training and everyday learning.
I really enjoy my program, it is a fantastic company with fascinating projects. You are constantly surrounded by experienced scientists that you can learn from. You can improve your scientific techniques for the future.
You are provided with induction training when you start your apprenticeship. Support is always available if needed. The training course is very organised and you have many members of staff to talk to as mentors.

A lot of support is provided to me from my training provider via email, this can sometimes be slightly delayed though
my qualification provides me with the background knowledge needed for my apprenticeship.
There are seasonal events such as the Christmas party. I also help out in the charity committee, this is a lot of fun and puts you in a role of responsibility.
