I am currently working on the HS2 project and as part of my day to day routine I assist the senior engineers with managing and producing legally required documents for works to commence on site.
I have learnt and developed many skills and improved my overall knowledge about documents.
I enjoy working for BAM Nuttall as an apprentice very much as I am learning and developing every day.
The program is structured very well as at the end of the program I will be fully qualified and have a broad range of experience.
I am always receiving support from my employer no matter what I need if it's an extra helping hand or extra equipment to complete tasks efficiently.
Leeds college of building is a great place to learn as most of the lectures have past construction experience and therefore, understand and teach very well.
My training provider expected me to be complete assignments in a report format which made producing and reviewing documents efficient for me and the knowledge gained from management units has helped alot as the current project I'm working on is management.
Yes sports and social events are organised and table tennis is available at my current office and even in the college.
Yes
BAM Nuttall are very supportive and offer a range of career paths for individuals to take. Not only this but you get the chance to work on some of the biggest projects in the world along side some of the most knowledgeable staff.
To be yourself and take everything one step at a time as with anything in life alot can happen at once for example the college block works can build up due to the short period however, this is easily achievable.
