In regards to the apprenticeship, on a day to day basis, at work, it involves documenting work/training carried out that contributes to developing the necessary skills required to be a management accountant. For example: • Analysing/interpreting data • Drafting reports • Completing training courses (e.g. enhanced excel skills)
The main objective of the apprenticeship is to learn new skills. This includes, but is not limited to, knowledge on relevant management accountant subjects (financial accounting, management, economics, ethics etc) and practical skills learned on the job.
The programme is enjoyable as you learn a lot, and the course content (and the support material) is interesting and well structured. The course is also very flexible, and you can tailor it to your own individual needs.
The course content and the way you study is very well structured. You're provided with a lot of material that is easy to follow, therefore it is easy to get the most out of the course. Also, when you request physical material it always seems to be sent quickly.
My employer has supported me well. They have given me the study time needed and been supportive of my course.
My training provider is very supportive in-between modules. There are regular scheduled calls and they are quick to respond to any emails I send.
It helps me perform better in my role as it increases my knowledge of the industry and the way it works, therefore I am better able to grasp new information and challenge other people’s work.
There are opportunists for extra-curricular activities, however I am not involved in them.

It is a good place to work, there is a nice work culture, opportunities to learn a lot, and people are very supportive.
Do your research, me yourself and throw yourself into it.
