I mainly working as a support function, helping to implement changes to business Functions. I also help to integrate new acquisitions onto our systems. my Team work as the link between people and systems. My workload is 40% Support and 60% Project Work. I work closely alongside our IS Team with involvement from design to delivery.
I am currently undertaking 3 units which acts as an introduction to these areas. Programming was brand new to me, so this is a new skill i have learnt. Web Development was an area i already has a keen interest in, so undertaking this unit has helped to develop my skills further.
I really enjoy this programme and believe it is an excellent opportunity for myself that i do not wish to take for granted. I am enjoying it the more i am learning and getting the right balance between learning, work and a home life. I would highly recommend anyone else to go for this if given the opportunity.
I believe my programme is very well organised an structured. They seem to really listen to the students and employers when putting the programme together. I feel like my input is valid and taken notice of. Nothing feels too much and there is plenty of support if this is needed.
I relieve a lot of support from my employer and they are really proud of me. There have been additional support days provided by the University that work have let me attend which have been really beneficial to my learning and understanding. I feel like i could approach my work for anything regarding my studying and learning.
The training provider provides a lot of support. We have tutors that we can contact with any issues. Additional Support days are put on to allow us additional support and understanding. They are constantly in contact with us, checking in to make sure we are ok which has been really important during the Coronavirus Situation.
I feel like this qualification is giving me the confidence to feel like i am performing well in my job by building on my current skills and me gaining additional ones. As a more mature student without a degree in my work path i lack confidence in having the skills that my peers had. This degree has helped acknowledge that i had those skills to begin with and it's just building on them and giving me that confidence.
I like to get involved in charity events with work. We organise a yearly event to raise money for our company charity which i am involved with in organising. I love getting involved in Bake Days and fun little challenges throughout the year. It's really important in helping build that team mentality.
