Working with an employee at EY and helping them complete their normal job. This includes meeting with clients and using the software and other tasks that my mentor would usually do in her job role. I also had to present our work and research.
I learnt a lot about accounting but found it difficult as I didn't have enough time to get a full understanding of what I was doing. I gained a CMI leadership certificate and gained a lot of skills needed for employment including presentation skills and many more.
The whole thing was planned to the smallest detail, everyone working at the business knew we were there and knew what was happening at certain times.
After seeing the business, I would really like to work there after university.
I have decided that after university I want to work at EY in the consulting department and hopefully work my way up to a management role.
We were paid for this experience and had lunch provided.
Each day we would have a different group of employees leading sessions we also had a few employees who worked with us through the whole experience. We also had mentors that we were in touch with for 10 months after the programme. We also had a graduation event with more employees.
Yes
The business has an amazing culture with lovely staff and employees. The work is also very interesting.
Be yourself, that is what's so amazing about EY, they love individuals for who they are. There are also so many opportunities within the business t gain qualifications while working and developing skills from so many individuals.
