IT Support role troubleshooting and supporting users, administration on all users and it documents, liasing with suppliers for it requests, maintain IT infrastructure, internal IT auditor.
before starting my role i had little knowledge in IT and now i am able to confidently support users and now have more confident in what i do. I also lacked confidence with emails and talking to senior managers and know able to work with them.
I enjoy my programme at work because in my role i am always learning new things and every day is different to the last. I am always eager to learn new things thherefor i really enjoy going to class as i am learning about more role in more dept.
I believe with my apprenticeship it could have been better structured as i had 3 different assessor looking after me and its been a struggle to get in to what i was doing but now i believe i have a grips of it more by corresponding with the correct people.
my employer really supports me in all aspects of the job and my future. he gives me the time I need for my apprenticeship like for example booking study days off and if i need help with my studies his always welcome to answer any questions.
i see me assessor every 4 weeks but in between i think they should give more support like maybe checking up on how i am doing and if i require more support.
My qualification gives me a better understanding on my role as i was able to carry out task but know I'm able to understand what i am doing.
yes there are alot of extra curricular activities like lunch and learn, volunteering and football outside work.
Yes
Costain has really helped me developed my career by always assisting me with my needs like for example this apprenticeship is a great way to get my foot in the door in this field as i had little experience and knowledge in my role.
I would tell them that Costain is a company that really believes in development and you will get all the support you need to take your career to the next step.
