I manage the inbound sales team of AO mobile. We look to achieve KPI targets as a department and work as 1 team to meet each individual target. Myself and the Deputy Managers spend a lot of time with our team, coaching and developing our staff to ensure we set them to succeed and meet their own individual targets. I also spend time reporting to my seniors about our KPI targets along with any challenges we are facing and successes we have had.
I have learned a lot of new skills around leading my team and how to better come across as a leader. I have been taught how to use 121s effectively and having positive conversations to get the most out of my staff. I have also learned more about myself and how I can improve within my current job role.
At the moment it is difficult due to having to work from home. This proves to be difficult with meeting relevant timescales of submitting work however, our Trainer has been very accommodating with this and supportive with giving us extra time and booking in more sessions so we are up to speed.
The programme is structured very well with detailed power point presentations and constructive discussions to make sure that the points being raised are understood by everyone in the class. There is plenty of time to ask questions and you never feel you have left a session unsure of the information you have learned.
We do receive enough support so that we are able to sit in on the classes and take the time to fill out our assignments. Sometimes it can be more difficult given my job role as I tend to put my team first and I may need more intervention from my company to make sure I complete tasks.
Our tutor is great and she is always there to help us whenever we need any advise. She has been very accommodating with us working from home and gets us to talk to each other to share our ideas so that we all as a collective get the right answer.

We do have social activities twice a year but I would prefer there to be more as a team that the employer can back like team building exercises or activities. As a sales team we always like to spend time with each other but this mainly is just going to the pub.
Yes
It is an amazing company to work for. We always make sure everyone is enjoying their work and developing in their role. I have moved through many departments within only a few years and I feel that there is always room to progress in the company if you put in the work.
Always look to achieve targets and work on exceeding them. A strong work ethic and a fun personality goes a long way at AO and if you show that you want to develop then the company will give you all the opportunities to move up and create a career from the job.
