Assisting senior audit associates and/or assistant managers in completing the audit tasks.
Have gained a lot more confidence in general and have definitely learned a lot of new technical skills such as excel.
I have thoroughly enjoyed the programme and find some aspect of it really challenging. I think apprenticeships in general are a good alternative to university for school leavers as we are able to step into the society earlier.
The structure of the programme can be improved by maybe regularly have catch up conference to inform us on the current updates. We do receive regular email updates, but they sometimes can be easily missed during busy seasons when our mail box gets filled up with client/management emails.
I think in terms of support, it is very sufficient. Staffs/management in general are very concerned about our wellbeing and are very understanding and supportive in meeting the different needs we all have.
Our training provider BPP is also very reliable and diligent in providing support for us.
The different study materials we currently have in place are definitely very helpful in obtaining our qualifications.
KPMG offers a lot of extra-curricular activities such as volunteering opportunities and/or sports events i.e. the marathon. As well as that, there are also different cultural societies that we could join to encourage networking within the company.
Yes
It is definitely a good experience to have. The job nature can be challenging but rewarding at the same time as we accomplish new skillset.
Research thoroughly before submitting the application, read around the topical issues of the industry. It is good to demonstrate to the interviewer that you have a certain level of knowledge of the job nature beforehand.
