We first started of with completing a qualification in team leadership. We also did a dragon den where we made an app relating to health. Furthermore, we spent a week meeting employees of EY from different departments were they showed us what their job entailed.
I developed my confidence as I had to speak in front of people in an environment I’m not use to. Also, doing presentations in such short notice which allowed me to be better at organising time.
What I enjoyed was meeting people from different departments that had different jobs. This was interesting as I learnt something new every time.
I think it was very organised and because of the friendly and approachable staff I could ask if I didn’t know what to do or if I was confused.
I learnt a lot about the company culture because I got to speak to different levels of employees. Therefore, I was able to understand what the company culture was like as a whole. I really liked the environment as people seemed to enjoy their job.
It helped me a lot in deciding on my future career path as there is a lot of different types of careers out there that I had no idea about before.
Yes, I was paid.
Yes there was many many opportunities for networking and meeting employees. On the second week I spent lots of it meeting new people.
Yes
