Usually my day starts off with salad prep, this consists of a role of jobs that must be organized accordingly to ensure customer satisfaction is met, I then go on to the line, this can be from plating to starters, in which case I will then carry on all day
I have a better understanding of what it means to work in a team and to correspond quickly to a task to ensure everything runs smoothly and to a high standard, I have also learnt how to work under pressure and at a fast pace, two essential qualities needed for the hospitality sector
I really enjoy working with the team and the customer's can be really lovely, it is most rewarding when compliments come back to the kitchen, it's never boring as every day is different, I like learning new things which the apprenticeship truly allows me to enjoy during the job
Very, I have regular visits and phone calls of my trainer each month, the program is broken down in a way that allows for a quick but essential learning process which becomes easier to grasp and the team are so supportive that I manage to cope well with the job. Infact the team broke down my learning process slowly until I was confident to move on
Constant support, wether this be from my manager, or the team in general they are always there to help me with a difficult task or if I don't understand something. They are also brilliant with emotional support and they never leave a team member behind, whenever one of us is having a bad day we are always behind each other making sure we can carry one another through everyday
My trainer is always around when I need them, they call a lot when they are unable to come out for a face to face visit to to ensure I have all of the resources available or if I need help with something I may be stuck on, the work is always at a level of understanding that allows me to manage work and the apprenticeship without feeling to under pressure
Very well, my trainer always checks my knowledge of understanding of a subject by asking me general questions or giving me a shirt task to complete revolving that topic which is able to clearly tell how well I've grasped the topic. If I haven't understood very well they give me a wide range of information and resorses that help me understand the topic better
Not that I know of, I know that the front of house team have little competitions such as who can get the most reviews for the restaurant and whoever achieves the most wins a prize, this keeps the team motivated whilst leaving a good impression on future customers. In the kitchen it's more about working as a team in general to make sure everything is beyond satisfactory for our guests

The people and the environment is always so refreshing to be in, every day is different and there's always new opportunities opening up which allow you to build new skills, surpass your expectations of yourself and all in all build on your success, there is always something up work towards and always something to look forward too, giving the guests the best experience is the most rewarding part of the job
Be resilient, confident and hard-working and you will fit in just well with the team, all we are looking for is someone who is able to work well with the team and be supportive during difficult times, someone who is willing to put in all of there best efforts just to ensure we meet all guest expectations. A functional team is the most important part of my job so to every new person that applies we just have to be sure you will be able to work along side us strongly and passionately
