I am the Deputy Hotel Manager and I am in charge of the day to day Operations of the Hotel, this Includes Health and safety, stock control and Finance Policy. I run Monthly meetings as well as regular meet ups with the team to ensure full team productivity and engagement.
I have learned how to better engage with employee training and development, how to set an effective job description for hiring new staff, how to set a succession plan in place. Continues understanding and coaching of staff will help retain them this includes effective inductions into work, When they know what is expected of them the will deliver more effectively.
I enjoy the fact that I get to learn more in depth about how the working individual think, how managing ourselves can have a good or bad impact on the individuals we manage. How different environments and challenges calls for different approaches to managing the situation and individual therein, its like fluid ever changing and moulding into what it needs to be at that time, yet never fully stopping.
The program is very well structured to help myself and other individuals to achieve a result in the best possible way, there is always support and the tools are always available if we need it. The time frame is generous in that you have enough time to do the work but also not to long to feel like it is dragging. Its really well thought out.
I receive a lot of support from my employer through training and development from our end as well as that of the Program. There is always help if needed
