  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • On a day-to-day basis I am responsible for all things to do with risk, inclining logging updating tracking and closing risk events, holding and running weekly team meetings and taking note of the outputs and actions from these. I have also had the opportunity to take part in weekly team events and fun activities for calls on the work from home scheme.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have developed a much stronger understanding of Microsoft systems such as Excel I have been able to develop my confidence organisation and timekeeping simply by working in a fast-paced and modern work environment. I have enhanced my people skills along with communication and can confidently talk to new people in a day-to-day role.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I definitely enjoyed their apprenticeship programme more than I thought I would as I have been able to learn many new skills and learn what it's like to work in a modern work environment I definitely know that University wasn't for me and was struggling for my options however this modern apprenticeship scheme has solidified what I want to do.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • I would say that the apprenticeship scheme is structured very well and our weekly or monthly calls and catch ups are super helpful in terms of keeping on track and monitoring progress both the apprenticeship leader and BPP closely work with you to ensure that you're on the right track and they are structured to giving you any support you need

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • At mandg support is always available for you for whenever you need it, my team especially always look out for me and ensure that I am on the right track nothing is too much for them.. Throughout the entire program you are constantly reminded of the people you can speak to in the help that is available

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • Bpo Are Always On Hand to answer any questions and any queries that you have regarding your qualification it's very helpful having a call to talk through the booklets and the questions that you have been given allowing you to seek out any assistance on but that you're struggling with.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I would say that sometimes it's harder to link the qualification to my job role as sometimes the questions were asking me about things that I've never experienced through work or through the jobs I do on a day-to-day basis,. this means it is sometimes hard to produce the evidence of things you have done in regards to what they are looking for in general though they do go on par

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • I was given the opportunity to get involved in so many other development ideas I was able to help with a fundraiser that a member of my team was having also got to do several presentations about my personal life and I got to be involved in one of the most amazing apprenticeship videos.

  • 9a. Would you recommend M&G to a friend?
  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • I would recommend mg to a friend as it is a fantastic opportunity to see what working life is like in a mother in fast-paced work environment there are so many Styles to be developing so many places that your career can take you once the qualification is gained. It has been such an eye opener and cannot wait to see what the future holds.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to M&G?
  • Film4 the progress I will tell them to be confident in yourself and your abilities and come prepared for the interview and any curveball questions that may asked it's really important to portray yourself in a positive manner and just be honest this way you are more likely to be welcomed with open arms.
