My role as a apprentice is to work alongside professionals within the business to pick up and understand various roles and responsibilities whilst also learning the various details of project controls during block work at college.
I have learn to work with many new people and have been put out of my comfort zone on many occasions all in which have benefited me and developed my pre existing skills within the work place.
To my understanding I have enjoyed the programme up to now although on some occasions work given has been a bit abundant.
There is always a clear plan prior to starting within a new area so we know whats happening at all times.
1 to 1 is key within EDF on pretty much all occasions I have been given support from my career manager and also various people within the organisation. If I require further support there is always someone I know I can go to.
Our college is slightly less well structured but I do always have support and know exactly what goals I must achieve for my qualification.
I gain most of the knowledge required for the workplace in the detail I need,
Yes there is a few sports activities and other clubs available.
Yes
I think it is one if not the best company to work for I the UK right now due to the fact EDF currently has the biggest building site in the UK. There are also many opportunities available I many areas that would suit anyone.
