My role is a portfolio management assistant. On a day to day basis, I look at different portfolios and see cashflows have affected them. I then trade in these portfolios to bring them back inline with their targets. These portfolios can move based on client flows or market movements.
I have learnt plenty of new skills as I am now using systems I didn't use before. I have also developed skills such as communication, confidence and time management within my role.
I enjoy the programme a lot. I enjoy learning about different areas I never got the chance to learn about before. I also enjoy how their is lots of networking throughout the programme.
The programme is very well structured. from the beginning I have had a clear path to follow in order to complete my programme to the best of my ability.
The employer has giving me lots of support from individuals to emails you can reach out to if you need further support. They give me the time I need to complete my programme and understand that I may need time off when sitting exams.
My training provider supports me towards my qualification by having regular chat ups and offering their help when I may need it.
I think my qualification helps me perform better in my role as I get background knowledge of the basic things we don't get time to go through on the job. This helps me understand why we do stuff and understand further in meetings.
There are many extra-curricular activities to get involved at work and they are always sending emails to promote these events to get the most people possible interested.
Yes
I would recommend M&G to a friend as they are supportive in all your work and always give you the time you need. They are also very understand of life outside of work.
I would give other the advice to be yourself as they prefer people that don't try and put on too much of a front. Do you research about the company to show your interest in the company.
