I'm a maintenance apprentice currently on my second year. Within college we do a mixture of theory work and practical work.
I have widened my knowledge of engineering and have greatly improve my knowledge of the station and equipment I will be working on.
Through the program I have not only learnt through the college but have been able to grow as a person meeting new people and trying new things.
So far both years have been relatively well organised as we were the first intake for a new program there was something that needed adjustment but the college and company worked through this and fixed it in a timely manner.
We remain in constant communication with our coordinators and take part in routine check ups where we discuss the course and any problems we might be struggling with.
We also have meetings with our lecturers to discuss any issues with the class, if someone is struggling there are plenty of people to go to for support.
My training has helped me feel more confident in my piratical abilities and trade.
within our accommodations there is activities put on by the local staff as well as event we arrange as well (Eg. ascot, horse riding)

It is a good apprenticeship that you gain a lot out of and potentially have a good job at the end.
Team work is very important as well as communication and being about to adapt well in different situations.
