My role involves preparing documents and plans for work on site. I also spend a lot of time on site assisting engineers in carrying out all sorts of exciting tasks.
I am always learning new skills as you are always thinking on your feet. My cooperation and communication have developed along with a better understanding of construction practices and processes.
I enjoy every day of my work as there is always something new and challenging to face. You meet lots of new people and its a great experience.
My programme is extremely well structured and there are always opportunities to learn a new skill or develop a personal attribute. The on the job learning alongside college blocks are a great way to develop academia and various practices on site.
There is loads of support available from your employees, and the company is always interested in how you can develop and better achieve your future goals. There is financial support and lots of great benefits!
There is a huge amount of support when carrying out your studies from accommodation and assistance getting to and from college. The staff are all extremely friendly and help to assist you on your assignments.
You learn about all the different aspects of your job from the legislation and history of the industry. All through the technical elements and design aspects which all benefit the way you work on site.
Yes there are great opportunities for you and your friends. We were lucky enough to get to go to the gym once a week and some of us guys set up a football team through our college. There are lots of fun social aspects at college and on site.
