I monitor financial transactions that are received from our vendors and make sure that they are correctly processed and paid on time. I also update our internal controls and trackers that are used in management costing.
I have improved on my Excel, presentation and email skills and have learnt how to use the companies main financial software.
I am really enjoying my time at WB, it has been a brilliant and encouraging place to start full time work, and I have learnt a lot of things that I will be able to transfer into future employment.
On my course I spend a day a week either studying/working on my personal development or having a session with my training coach. The training has managed to transition effectively through social distancing online without dropping in quality.
I've received a lot of support from my employer. My manager is always willing to lend a help with my personal develop and allows me to take time to revise for my exams and study.
We have fortnightly sessions to cover the topic as well as revision sessions and advise and assistance in completing our portfolios. Also, my coach is always available for a one on one to assist me with anything in relation to my qualification.
I'm finding that as I progress through the course, I am able to understand better my role and the processes that our department follows.
Yes, we often get together as a department for social activities and events that are hosted by the company.
