I work with helping customers bank, save and make money. I also help educate customers on how to bank using new digital channels as well as helping them do it securely. The first part of my job is to build rapport with customers and find a way to help them. The second part is the servicing and banking.
I have learnt to speak to different types of customers in different ways by adapting. I have learnt what it means to go above and beyond for customers. I have been able to grow my organisational skills a lot more and my planning to a higher standard
I enjoy the BPP programme very much it works to help people at different skill levels and also points out little things that make huge differences. I always like to reflect on how I have helped customers and the skills I have learned through BPP have shun the most.
There are something which are organised very well but there are some thing we have to learn through trial and error for example where to locate certain documents. It has also been struggling to differentiate between pbc and the apprenticeship. Other colleagues have noticed this too. However trainers are amazing.
My employer has been very supportive. My manager has joined in on conversation and sat with me. Santander have invest in there staff and done amazing to invest in so many people. I can not fault their commitment to being supportive. They do Invest in you and help you grow.
We do get a lot of support however the training provider does have a lot of people to deal with so does not always get back to you. This is not fault to the trainer I just believe it may be more effective if the groups were smaller and closer
I think it helps a lot there are a lot of things you learn and different ways to learn for example with others in groups or independently. We also have classes online to help and support us. We as a group reflect the skills we have learnt through the programme and report back to our trainer of how we have used the skill.
We do have networking events unfortunately the pandemic has meant we are unable to do as many as before.
