Creating statistics documents for the London brokers, processing premiums and brokerage income onto the data base, and checking potential markets for compliance and sanctions touch points.
I have greatly developed my ability to communicate with clients and colleagues as well as my presentation skills. Further more my skills with software such as Excel has also improved.
I think the company is very welcoming and social which makes it a nice place to work. The job can be difficult at times but support is around if needed.
Very well structured, we have regular revision workshops to ensure we succeed with our CII exams as well as catch up meetings.
They are very supportive, as they are aware this can be a challenging industry to grasp. So additional exam help and job assistance can be provided if needed. They focus on setting you up for the future and encouraging you to gain a depth of understanding.
They are quick to reply to emails if something needs to be explained and take time to answer any questions we have in revision workshops as well.
It provides the why behind what we do in our role. This has been extremely beneficial as when faced with a problem, the knowledge gained from the qualification has helped me solve it.
The Young Professionals network organise regular talks and panel events with key speakers such a senior management. There are often office floor events such as quiz nights and Christmas parties. The apprentices have also organised social events after work to network with each other.

It is very friendly and comfortable, the people make it a great place to work. Also i find the industry very interesting so i find a lot of enjoyment in the role.
Confidence is important, but not overconfidence. Learn as much as you can about insurance broking as it is very useful in interviews because it shows you are keen. Also be professional but don't be afraid to let your personality shine through. It is a relationship driven industry.
