I have to advocate on clients claims to make sure they get the correct and fair results
My communication skills have increasingly developed
It has been a great opportunity for me to get into the industry that I want to build my career in. My team is always very supportive and helps me learn different skills to aid my job role. The company culture is very diverse and accepting so it makes everyone feel welcome. It has exceeded my expectations for my first job and I really enjoy it
Our induction was spread out over a prolonged amount of time to stop us from being overwhelmed and settle into our teams. The training was great at the start and made sure that we are prepared to enter our job role. There has always been amazing support from the training provider, mentors and we have buddies from older apprentices.
My manager is new but tries to support me when he can. The HR team has always been so welcoming and so supportive every time I have had contact with them. My mentor has always been really friendly and helped me to sort issues outside of my team. Everyone has always been open to helping me and answering any questions that I need
Our training provider comes into our office and provides sessions in which we are always free to ask questions. They are also contactable by email whenever questions of difficulties arise. They have always been very friendly and I have enjoyed the sessions. I have passed all of my exams so far so I think they have been very beneficial
Nearly everything that I learn in my qualification directly relates to my role so I feel like it is very accurate. However, some things relate to the wider industry which I feel gives me an advantage because I have better knowledge of other peoples work and how that relates to my role to make the industry work together as a whole.
Our office is very well connected with the young professionals network which runs all over the country and helps us expand our networks as growing professionals in the industry. They put on many events and lectures which are knowledgeable about our work. They are all free to attend and gives great opportunities to meet new people who might benefit our career
Yes
I have always recommended Willis Towers Watson to anyone who is interested in the insurance industry. It is a great company to work for as they are always willing to help and offer brilliant opportunities. There is always chances to better yourself and continue to study. They allow you to be free and try lots of new roles without leaving the company.
The application process is rigorous but do not let this put you off. This gives a fantastic opportunity to make sure that you are right for the role and the company is right for you. I attended online video interviews, assessment centres, online exams, etc but as soon as you find out that you have got the job it feels so much more rewarding.
